The success of the series has spun off into a number of short animation films over the years and a full length feature film titled Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan which was released in 2012
The extreme strong Bheem lives in a fictional town called Dholakpur set in rural India. The series revolves around Bheem, a nine-year-old boy, who is brave, strong and intelligent. Bheem's rival is Kalia Pahelwan, a jealous eleven-year-old bully, who is envious of Bheem's popularity. Kalia, along with his sidekicks Dholu and Bholu, always plots to embarrass and defeat Bheem but he never succeeds and Krishna helps Bheem whenever he needs in the most difficult circumstances and in fighting demons like Kirmada. The story revolves around Bheem and his friends and their rivalry with Kalia and his friends. All the children of Dholakpur look up to Bheem, as he solves everyone's problems. He also defeated some enemies in and around Dholakpur like the evil demon Kirmada, Kichak & Mangal Singh. The Raja Indravarma and his daughter Indumati trust Bheem more than any one else for a major task.
Characters
Bheem : Bheem is a super star and an adventurous and fun-loving 9-year-old who is gifted with extraordinary strength. This power is a boon for Dholakpur, Bheem's village, which is constantly beset by all kinds of perils. This child has a big heart and he always uses his strength to help those who are wronged or needy and nabs culprits, robbers and is seen as a Guardian of the innocent and poor people and also the animals. He wants to be a protector of the world. Bheem loves food and has a certain craving for laddoos, which in fact, give him a surge of energy and make him even stronger than he normally is. These laddoos are often offered by Chutki. He has three main friends called Chutki, Jaggu (a monkey) and Raju .
Chutki : Chutki is a seven -year-old girl. She is Bheem's closest friend, and assists Bheem on their adventures. While she is responsible about her household chores and gentle towards all creatures of the forest, she can be tough too, when the situation demands it. Surprisingly, she is seen greedy for taking gold in the episode "The Curse of Bramhbhatt-Part 2". She has a soft spot for Bheem as can be seen in episodes like the Magic Doll etc. She also has many ideas or tricks to help Bheem in many of his adventures as seen in the episodes "Pirates on the ship", "Hercules",etc.
Raju : Raju is a cute and courageous four-year-old kid, whose role model is Bheem. Raju’s size belies his courage, which he gets from his father, the Senapati of the King’s army. Raju also wants to be the Senapati of the Army. (seen in the episode "Chutki's Wish"). He is very good in archery and won the "Arjuna Cup". He appears as the protagonist in the movie "Mighty Raju"
Kalia : Kalia or Kalia Pehalwan, is a 11 year old bully. He is also very greedy and tries to become rich by cheating. Kalia has two silly followers, Dholu and Bholu, who sometimes help him in his plans and at other times completely abandon him. However, at times he is seen helping Bheem in common causes or in attempts to save Dholakpur.
Jaggu : Jaggu is a talking monkey. Jaggu and his group play Lord Rama's adventures and he will be Ravana.Jaggu has his own special way of solving problems, using tricks and his amazing sense of humour. Jaggu and Bheem always have fun together, be it exploring forests or helping people with their chores. From him, Bheem learns useful techniques like swinging from trees. Whenever they are really hungry, it’s Jaggu who assists Bheem in stealing laddoos. He also loves playing tricks on Dholu, Bholu and Kalia. He wants to be the Protector of all animals in the jungle (seen in the episode "Chutki's Wish")
Dholu and Bholu : Dholu and Bholu are identical twins and followers of Kalia Pahelwan. Though they are not strong themselves, they bask in Kalia’s strength and are arrogant with the other kids. Occasionally, they allow themselves to be easily bribed by Bheem and Chutki and are therefore not always loyal to Kalia.
Kichak : Kichak is a wrestler from Pehelwanpur. He is later introduced in the series. He is jealous of Bheem, since Bheem is more popular than he is. But, he is defeated in all the occasions when he challenged Bheem for a bull race, cricket match, in a contest for champions,in a hockey match, in a football match and in many other situations. He has a couple of friends & sidekicks like Chipru, Manna, Motu & Birju etc. who aids him but also gets the punishment with him. He then was noticed helping and advising a participant in the episode "Girls versus Girls", but later escaped. Unsurprisingly, he was seen helping Bheem in the movie Bheem vs Aliens."
Chhota Mannu : He is also a character from Pehelwanpur. A strong, small child who is first shown in the episode the boxing match, he is physically strong and clever. His arch rival is Raju, whom he never managed to defeat. He is also an aid of Kichak
Indumati : Indumati is the princess of Dholakpur. She is shown to be nice and caring. She also won the trophy along with Chutki in the episode "Girls versus Girls".
Indravarma : The King of Dholakpur is Raja Indravarma. He is the father of Indumati. Though himself a valiant warrior, he mostly relies on Bheem for any crisis in the kingdom. He is also shown to be thoughtful on every occasion. His enemy was Raja Chandravarma. He is 35 years old, according to the movie 'Chhota Bheem : The Rise Of Kirmada'.
Daku Mangal Singh : Mangal Singh is a daku (dacoit) who used to terrorize Dholakpur when he was free. But he was caught by Bheem when he went to take some plants to cure Indumati (as she was ill) and nabbed him. Soon, he escaped with the help of his followers & kidnapped the princess, but again he was caught by Bheem. In the episode "Old Enemies", he returned and robbed the Treasury but was later caught by Bheem. He, then became a small thief in the episode of "Greed".
Dhooni Baba : Dhooni Baba is a sage who lives in a cave. In the former episodes, he has a body smeared with ash and seen meditating on some needles. Later, his body has no ash smeared and he walks with a walking stick. He is described as a sage who knows almost everything. He gives advice and also solution to Bheem & his friends. In the episode "Superheroes" he had granted Bheem & Raju to be superheroes for a day. He has helped Bheem in various occasions like in the episodes "Curse of Bramhabhatt", "Chhota Bheem Aur Krishna", "Daku mangal Singh" and "King Chandravarma".He always helps Bheem.
Tun-Tun Mausi : Tun-Tun is the mother of Chutki. She owns a laddu shop where she sells laddoos. She stays mostly angry with Bheem as he steals laddoos from her shop. She usually gets angry with bheem and hit him with belan.
Professor Shastri Dhoom Ke Too : An Inventor. He often ends up getting problems with his Inventions, like getting his inventions stolen, or malfunctioning. His inventions include a time machine, a hot air balloon, a super fast bicycle etc.many of his inventions were misused by Raju. There used to be Professor Avi, whose place is taken by Professor Dhoom Ke Too.
Shivani : Bheem's foster sister is Shivani. She lives in Pehelwanpur and a runs a dhaba there named "Shivani ka Dhaba". Her father is imprisoned, and to free him she needs 500 coins. But the pehalwan Dabbu tries to take over the Dhaba. Bheem comes to her rescue and even frees her father from jail. In the episode of "20-20 Cricket", she has been seen supporting Bheem's team.
Krishna: The mighty lord Krishna comes and helps Bheem in his dangerous adventures as his friend. Sometimes, various Devatas appear in the show, to help Bheem. The Devatas who appear are Kanha or Krishna, Ganesh and Hanuman.
Chhota Bheem: Master of Shaolin
The film opens with a young monk, Ming, being sent to India by the head monk of Shaolin, to fetch the person that would bring about the salvation of Shaolin temple. He is given a pendant that would shine on coming in contact with the savior-to-be. Bheem and his friends from Dholakpur are in a tussle with Kichak and his friends from Pehelwanpur, over who is the better team, when they hear noises. On investigating, they find that a young monk is attacked by robbers who try to rob the monk, of the pendant. Bheem springs into action and fights off the robbers. When he takes hold of the pendant to return it to its owner, it starts glowing, thus giving the indication that he is the savior. The monk introduces himself as Ming, and explains the purpose of his visit.
It is portrayed that Shaolin temple has been living undisturbed in peace for centuries, until it was attacked and defeated by Kaifu and his army. Kaifu laid out the condition that each year, for the next ten years, he would face a member represented by Shaolin, and they would fight till one man is left standing. If Kaifu wins on all ten occasions, he would take control over Shaolin temple. For the last nine years, the representatives of Shaolin have been defeated by Kaifu without dropping a sweat. The representative of Shaolin temple the previous year was Chang, who had mastered all the five techniques of Shaolin, but was defeated by Kaifu within 3 minutes. With king Induverma's permission, Bheem, Raju, Chutki, Jaggu and Indumati set off for Shaolin, and they are joined by Kalia, Dholu, Bholu, Kichak and Mannu.
They start their training immediately, under the guidance of Ming. On reaching Shaolin temple, each of them is given a signature technique. Bheem and Kalia learn Lion's technique, Chutki is taught Snake technique, Raju learns Monkey technique, Kichak learns Crane's technique, and Mannu learns Mentis technique. Within a few days they show great progress. However, Bheem feels that is not enough to defeat Kaifu, so his friends teach him their signature techniques. Shortly thereafter, he is even able to overpower Chang, someone who has been practicing for years. The head monk announces the squad that would face Kaifu's team, but leaves Bheem out as he broke a shaolin rule. He and his friends are taken to a river by Ming, where they end up confronting the soldiers of Kaifu, but they are vastly outnumbered. A mysterious figure arrives on the scene and drops a smoke bomb to help Bheem and his friends escape. At his place, Ming introduces him as Laoshi, formerly the best Shaolin student, but was also banished from the temple because of his lack of faith in Shaolin techniques.
With Laoshi, they begin strategising on how to defeat Kaifu. Bheem spies on Kaifu's soldiers while they are practicing, and learns Kaifu's signature technique- the Eagle's fist. He is told by Laoshi not to use the technique in Shaolin temple or on his friends as it is very lethal. Bheem continues practicing and soon reaches the peak of his training. Tragedy strikes the day before the tournament, as Kalia is caught while trying to spy on Kaifu. He is about to be imprisoned, when Ming arrives just in time to convince the guards into arresting him instead. Kalia narrates the whole incident to Bheem and his friends who are shocked on hearing about it.
Its the day of the battle; Raju, Kalia, Chutki, Kichak, Mannu and Chang arrive to square off against Kaifu and his team. Bheem and Laoshi invade Kaifu's camp and rescue Ming. Laoshi continues to fight while Bheem is sent back to save Shaolin temple. By the time Kaifu's turn arrives, three members of Shaolin team are already defeated, and Chang is injured. However, since Chang is evidently the strongest member among the present team, the head monk instructs him to go ahead and face Kaifu. But Bheem arrives just in time and challenges Kaifu to fight. Bheem challenges Kaifu to accept his condition that if he wins, Kaifu will have to leave Shaolin temple alone forever. Kaifu in turn places forth his own condition that if Kaifu wins, Bheem will have to become his slave for life. Bheem agrees, and the battle commences. Its the clash of the titans, and both of them push each other to the limit. Bheem remembers Laoshi's advice that he needs a special technique to beat Kaifu, and that Nature is the best teacher. He is able to develop a very powerful signature attack and uses it to defeat Kaifu once and for all.
Kaifu begs forgiveness to the head monk. The head monk congratulates Bheem on saving Shaolin temple. Bheem in return requests the head monk to reinstate Laoshi into the Shaolin temple, to which the head monk replies that there is no barrier on Laoshi and he can return whenever he wants. There is celebration all around on Shaolin's victory, and Chutki asks Bheem how was he able to form a signature attack in the middle of a fight. Bheem jokingly replies that first they will have to eat a lot of ladoos, and everyone breaks into laughter. The film ends with a 'Happy New Year' greeting on the screen

Chhota Bheem Aur Krishna
The movie opens with the massive army of Bhotakpur ready to battle. Their injured spy hurriedly arrives to inform them that the devil himself is coming their way. The commander shows immense bravery and commands his army to forge ahead, but within seconds he is killed by a huge dark figure who reveals himself as Kirmada. The king accepts defeat, but Kirmada says he should have done that earlier, and kills him. Terrified, the army flees.
King Induverma is seated at his court with Bheem and his ministers, when a messenger of Kirmada arrives. He says Kirmada has ordered Induverma to open Dholakpur's gates the next day and accept defeat, the failure to do which shall seal their fate. Unmoved by his threatening, Bheem says that the next day, just like any other day, Dholakpur would wake up independent. The messenger storms off, saying they would regret it later.
The next day, the army of Dholakpur arrives to battle, but to their surprise, there is no army to confront them. Bheem goes to consult the sorceress, who gifts him a magical sword, using which he would be able to defeat Kirmada. Bheem returns to the battlefield and uses the sunlight reflected from the sword to expose Kirmada's army. The battle commences; the army of Dholakpur gains an upper hand with Bheem leading from the front against Kirmada. But as soon as the sun sets, Dholakpur's army loses momentum and king Induverma is captured. Bheem is forced to surrender his sword, he and the surviving army are taken as prisoners of war. Bheem is offered to join Kirmada's army in return for his freedom, but he flatly refuses. He and his friends are sent to the dungeon where they would be fed only once in two days. They manage to fool a guard and steal a metal plate from him, using which they dig a way out of the dungeon, during the course of the next two days. While Bheem, his friends, and the general escape, Kalia, Dholu and Bholu fail to escape in time and they are captured. Bheem and his friends take refuge in a forest. They visit the sage for help, who narrates the history of Kirmada, and instructs Bheem and his friends to pray to Lord Krishna, who would surely help them.
A few days have passed, but everything is still the same. Bheem gets tired of the same old routine and goes away to be alone for a while. When he is back, he finds his friends unconscious from consuming some toxic fruits. He hurries to fetch a doctor, but finds his way blocked by a herd of sheep and their shepherd, who reveals himself as Kanha. Bheem tries to fight him out his way, but almost falls off the cliff in the process. Kanha saves Bheem, and says he can save his friends as well. He uses some wild herbs to cure them, and humbly requests to join their circle. Resurrected, they resume their training with their new friend Kanha. Jaggu sees a small group of Kirmada's soldiers heading their way, whom they defeat easily. Kanha sets off to rescue Kalia, Dholu and Bholu (who were earlier sentenced to being fed to the lions, for refusing to disclose Bheem's refuge hideout location). Kanha instructs Kalia to rescue King Induverma, princess Indumati and the soldiers in prison the following day, and lower the flag on the fort when they have completed their task.
With Kanha's blessings, Kalia is able to complete his job rather easily. On the other side, Bheem, his friends and Kanha are facing the massive army of Kirmada. Bheem is asked to accept defeat by Kirmada, but at exactly the same time Kalia completes his task and lowers the flag. Kirmada's army is attacked by Dholakpur's army and is defeated with ease. Kirmada goes underground and brings along a Brahmastra given to him by the devil. He hurls the weapon towards Bheem, but Kanha gets in the way. The Brahmastra on coming in contact with Kanha, turns into a garland around his neck. Kanha towers above everyone else in the battlefield, and reveals himself as Lord Krishna. On his command, Bheem finishes off Kirmada using the chariot wheel as Lord Krishna's Sudarshana chakra. The film ends with Krishna telling the viewers that whenever there is injustice and wrongdoing in the world, he will be there. All that needs to be done is remember him, just like Bheem and his friends did. [1]
Chhota Bheem: Bheem vs Aliens
The film opens with Earth being shown under attack by Aliens, and none of its defensive maneuvers being any match for the superior alien technology. The kingdom of Kothakpur and Pehelwanpur are attacked and reduced to rubble. Dholakpur too suffers a similar fate. The king of Dholakpur, Induverma, and the princess Indumati, are abducted by the aliens.
Bheem and his friends are shown playing a Twenty20 cricket match against their rival team lead by Kichak from Pehelwanpur. Bheem's team scores 115/2 from 20 overs, aided by a strong innings from their skipper Bheem. In return, Kichak's team scores 109/4; with 6 runs needed to even the scores. Kichak hits a lofty shot in the air, but before the ball could land, it is destroyed by a laser beam from an alien vessel.
The aliens continue their rampage, setting a majority the nearby huts and trees on fire. Instead of fleeing, Bheem decides to confront them, and call them out. The leader of the aliens, Kyto reveals that they are from the planet Zekan, and they have come to take control over earth. On Bheem's persuasion, he decides to give earth a chance. Kyto says that the following day, they would have a competition- Bheem and his friends would have to face the aliens in a game of 'Plutocket', where if Team Prithvi (earth) wins, the aliens would leave their planet alone. However, if the Zekans win, earth would be theirs forever.
Bheem and his friends are joined by Kichak's team, but are faced with a major problem of having no idea about how the game Plutocket is played. One of Kichak's friends, Motu, informs that the aliens are practicing nearby. Upon spying on their practice, Bheem and his friends learn that Plutocket is actually what the Zekans refer to Cricket, and realize that they might actually stand a chance. Team earth is formed; Bheem, Raju, Kichak, Kalia, Dholu, Bholu, Jaggu, Chutki, Manna, Motu, and Poptya are selected as the final eleven.

Bheem observes that each of the aliens have some definite characteristic, which they can take advantage of. However, Kyto remains not out, and continues to fight through his innings, completing his half century. At the end of 19 overs, Zekans are at 102, requiring 16 runs off the last over. They hit a six off the first ball to ease the pressure, but team earth manages to hold them within the walls. With 6 runs required off the last ball to win the match, having 1 wicket in hand, Kyto hits the balls high in the air. Dholu and Bholu are the fielders running towards the ball, and on the verge of colliding with each other. Surprisingly, they pull off an exceptional double team move to take the catch and dismiss Kyto, thus winning the match for their team and their planet.
According to the deal, Kyto sets free the king and the princess. King Induverma and Kyto agree upon peace relations between the two planets in the future, and the Zekanians leaves earth in peace. Bheem and his friends have laugh at the sight, as the film comes to an end.
Chhota Bheem & Krishna: Pataliputra- City of the Dead
The powers of Kirmada were destroyed by Krishna's Sudarshana Chakra in the movie Chhota Bheem Aur Krishna, but his soul manages to survive. His sister brings him back using her magic, but is unable to restore any power in him. Kirmada then requests the devil to give him more strength. In response, the devil informs him that he was killed by the Sudarshana chakra and cannot be resurrected, unless he absorbs the power of 1000 people and sacrifices himself into the fire, at which point Kirmada could get back his own form and power. Kirmada then enters the body of a saint residing in Pataliputra and absorbs the power of the king of Pataliputra, converting him into a zombie in the process. In the same way, he absorbs the power of many of the residents of Pataliputra. Kirmada sacrifices himself and returns to his own form. Bheem and his friends team up with Krishna to quell the disaster. After a hard fight, Bheem strikes Kirmada with his axe and destroys him. The powers he had absorbed get released, and the people return to their normal form. Kirmada's ghost tries to escape but Bheem shoots him out of the earth. The next day, Krishna is shown teasing to Bheem that he is about to leave. Bheem, thinking that Krishna is only joking, pays no heed to him. However, when he looks back, Krishna is gone. But the peacock feather dear to Krishna is blowing in the wind. They run after the feather as the film comes to a close.
